Audrey Renaud was born in the Northeast; she is a storyteller who began writing stories at age 10 and poetry by age 11. Her early poetic influences were Robert Frost and eventually Dick Summer. When she started writing stories, she followed Ray Bradbury’s style, along with Isaac Asimov’s unique handling of surprise.
She also writes ghost stories. Her penchant for writing stories has somewhat diminished, along with her writing of music, but the poetry lives on. She is a graduate of The University of New Hampshire with a BA in Music Theory and Composition. She also has a teaching certificate through Washington State University for music K-12 and English 6-12. She has been on stage as a singer and an actor and has been a member of the Walla Walla Choral Society for over 25 years.
Thanks to the late Dick Summer's suggestions and some comments from Tyson Kaup, who is a voice actor as well as a stage and screen actor, director, and voice-over professional, and Robb Harrison, the Walla Walla Choral Society Director, Audrey decided to record the poems that she wrote. She has several Spoken Word CDs out and is adding to that collection as time goes by.
Audrey lived in the Northwest for over a quarter of a century and will be home again in mid-2026 to northern New England, which holds her heart and her roots.
